Nationwide Coverage of "Phony Locksmiths"

The problem of "phony locksmiths" has become HUGE the last few years.  Every TV network has done stories on them, the Federal Trade Commission has issued a warning to all consumers & just recently, the State of Connecticut has now begun registering all locksmiths in the State.

Basically, these "locksmiths" pose in the local phone books & on-line  as real, local locksmiths with local phone numbers, local towns listed & often actual local street addresses.  Actually, most of them work out of a call centers in other states.  Although they quote low prices over the phone, the $65.00 or so quickly rises to $250.00 - $500.00 for even a simple lockout.  Since they aren't even locksmiths, they can't pick locks; they usually drill or take a pipe wrench to them open!

Don't be fooled by local sounding names, phone numbers or addresses!
