I lost a set of my house keys - Can you replace my locks? |
In this case, we would usually only need to "re-key" your existing locks. When done, your old keys will no longer operate your locks, but the new keys we provide will.

Where is your shop? I would like to come in to have some keys duplicated. |
Sorry, we no longer have a walk-in lock shop; we're mobile only for service & installation. Unfortunately there just aren't enough hours in the day for us to travel out just to duplicate keys at your home or business.

Why don't you have a walk-in lock shop anymore? |
Unfortunately, it just doesn't pay the bills. We did have lock shops in Westbrook and in Old Saybrook at different times over the years, but there is too little volume to support one. While we did have a huge selection of the oddball key blanks, most people go to a hardware store for the common keys. While we did have a large safe showroom, many people are just looking for cheap, light safes sold at discount stores. While we did have an extensive lock selection & perform lock repairs, "common" locks are now seen as "throwaway". So unfortunately, if you need a walk-in lock shop for the duplication of a specialty key, better quality cut common keys or repairs to antique cabinet locks, etc., you'll have to drive to a lock shop in New Haven, New London or West Hartford.
